Nikon D300s is a compact FX format professional SLR camera with 12.1 MP  CMOS sensor , 3 inch LCD screen which delivers ISO 200 to ISO 12800 standard.It features  Nikon's Integrated Dust Reduction System including Image Sensor Cleaning function,contrast detection AF system that provides support during movie capture and live view and optical viewfinder .It  captures movies at 720p/24fps with stereo sound using the input jack and offers five options for active D-Lighting.

Review Details


A first glance at this beauty from Nikon will leave any photography enthusiast gasping for breath. The full-frame Nikon D3S is the high end professional camera having ISO that can scale to ISO 12,800.

 

 


D3S has a solid grip, and the body is quite heavy at around 1.5 kg. The body is made for the Nikon FX series lenses, but it can also house the DX series lens but with some expected compatibility issues. A vertical grip is integrated that adds to the solid feel. Even the command dials have a rubberised finish.


A second control display is located on the top right hand side of the camera. There is a provision to put in two CF cards at a time in the two slots.

 

The battery can allow shooting up to 1000 shots in one charge. This camera is meant for professionals. Used with a compatible FX series of lens, it can be a joy for wildlife and sports photographer among others.
