The Acer Aspire One 751 is a portable notebook pc with a 11.6-inch LED backlit LED screen, ultra slim and stylish design. It has a 1366 x 768 resolution, along with US15W Express Chipset,  Intel Atom Z520 processor.

There is 802.11b/g WiFi, and optional Bluetooth 2.0+EDR. The Acer Aspire One 751 has a matte gray and glossy black and has a buttoned-down, businesslike feel.

Review Details

The slim design of the netbook will make it stand out in the crowd. Specifications are like any other netbook in its category. Other than its large screen and the keyboard that’s very much like Acer’s full fledged laptops, it comes with dedicated buttons to quickly access Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The multi-touch trackpad features gestures but the trackpad is very small. The keyboard is well spaced out and easy to type on.

The netbook performed well in all the synthetic tests. It beats the similarly configured Eee PC 1101HA in some tests.

Quality of the speakers is satisfactory and the inbuilt web cam is good for video conferencing. Video playback is fine because of the screen resolution but watching movies on any netbook can’t be a good idea.

The large battery adds to the bulk of the netbook at the back but it doesn’t match the performance of the ASUS Eee PC 1101HA. The battery life difference between this and Eee PC 1101HA is almost one hour.

To sum it all up, this new Aspire One is perfect for those who need something small and stylish.
