The Acer Aspire TimelineX 4820T Laptop is a portable 14 inch laptop weighing just 2 Kgs. It is a stylish looking laptop with an aluminum lid with a sleek black plastic finish. The touchpad and the palm rest are in shades of grey. There are 3 LED Indicators placed on the Palm rest indicating display, power and Wi-Fi status.

At the top of the keypad the Acer Aspire 4820T laptop has special function keys in a light Blue colour. The multimedia, brightness and volume control keys are also in Blue. Their are built-in Dolby theater speakers. The keypad and touchpad is spacious and comfortable to use and the keys give good feedback. The Multitouch feature is great for zoom in and out in Windows 7.
 
This Acer laptop has minimal flex on the hinges. The LCD Screen may have blurry images and has to be at the right angle for picture clarity. The display has a 1366 x 768 pixels screen resolution and can play HD content. We performed the PC Mark Vantage test and it failed miserably on the TV and Movies score.

On the right side it supports different ports like VGA, HDMI, Ethernet, USB, microphone and on the left side it has a headphone port. On the right hand side there are 3 USB ports, a tray-loading and a multi-speed DVD writer. A microSD card tray-loading slot, is placed next to the palm-rest and an integrated webcam is at the top-centre.

 Performance:
We performed the PC Mark Vantage; Sisoft Sandra 2010 Pro and 3D Mark 2006 tests on this Acer Laptop. We did 3 Trial test and were disappointed as it failed the TV and Movie Test. The battery life was 427 minutes and the CPU results were also good with 2548 points.

This Acer laptop gave an average performance across the real world tests and wireless signal strength was an average 51%. The graphics solution in Far Cry 2 game was ordinary at 11.07fps. The Graphics cards are missed in this notebook.

Conclusion:
The Acer Aspire TimelineX 4820T notebook is targeted towards home and office users and is meant for basic daily tasks. It looks stylish and sleek with good build and good audio. It is certainly not for gamers with the lack of dedicated cards. Priced at Rs. 35,999 it is a good buy but we definitely miss the dedicated graphic solution. If you are a keen gamer the Asus U43Jc will be better suited for casual gaming needs.
