Asus latest offering is an improvement offer its older models. This Asus Laptop offers great performance and is ideal for frequent travelers.
 
Though it shares some features with its previous models like an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor, 1GB RAM and an integrated 1.3 MP Camera for video chatting, there are some differences as well like the large 10-inch screen, 160 GB HDD, and Windows XP OS.
 
This Asus Eee PC 1000H is available in a variety of colors like Red, Green, Pearl White, Fine Ebony. The complimentary cleaning cloth with this Asus laptop definitely comes handy as the glossy lid is prone to fingerprints.
 
We reviewed the Ebony Version which supports the Latest Eee PC Logo on the glossy black lid. The silver hinges provide a stylish look to the laptop. It has a 10 inch clear display with 1024 x 600 pixels screen resolution. The display is very good compared with the Acer One. It supports Intel GMA x3100 graphics solution which is good for viewing movies but not meant for Gaming.
 
It has a 1.3 megapixel webcam with microphone ideal for chatting. It has Dolby Sound Room Certified speakers which give great voice clarity. This Asus Laptop has a more spacious keyboard than its predecessors and is very comfortable to use.
 
The Touchpad supports multi touch but the click buttons are very uncomfortable to use.
The Intel Atom N270 1.6 GHz processor is enough for daily office tasks. The 1GB RAM, is provided for the Windows version whereas the Linux Version supports 2 GB RAM.
It has 160 GB HDD which provides ample space for all your videos, pictures and office documents. It has a six cell battery with battery life of 3hrs and 23 minutes which is impressive. Weighing at 1.45 kg, it is an ultraportable notebook.
 
Though it supports great features and is very portable, the price is still a little steep. The fact that it does not support an optical drive makes it a little pricey for us.
