Every company is now jumping into the business notebook section. Dell also has come up with its business notebook series by the name of VOSTRO. The laptop that I have is a Dell Vostro 1400.

The Vostro 1400 to start with is a 14.1 in display screen notebook, styled tastefully in graphite Black color and the overall matte finish gives it a touch of sophistication. Talking about the spec and what all it has, to start with, the Vostro 1400, like the other series, comes with a choice of processors and other hardware. The Dell by default gives Intel C2D 1.5 GHz processor, combined with Intel 965 mobile chipset and Intel GMA X3100 graphics chipset to take care of the graphics and sound max HD audio solution.

When talking about the performance, part this laptop is good for basic to mid level computing. Although when coming to the graphics part, this laptop fall a little short in terms of gaming and intensive 3D output to be specific. Working on laptops can be quite a problem but somehow better keyboard and a better track pad can help to overcome that to a large extent. Battery backup is good with giving almost 2hours and 35 minutes of work time on a full recharge.

So to sum it up, the Dell Vostro 1400 has got all the features and gives a lot of scope for expandability too, hence future proofing to a large extent. Also with Dell giving a lot of options to customize your laptops, you can probably push this laptop from a mid level worker to an extreme performer.
