The HCL laptop Z24-Z2405 Leaptop PC is powered by 1.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 Processor with 2-MB L2 Cache, 667 MHz FSB (Front Side Bus) build around Intel 965GM Chipset Mainboard and it offers 1024-MB DDR2 SDRAM (upgradable to 4-GB), 160-GB Serial-ATA Hard Disk Drive (5400rpm, 2.5-inch thick), and DVD Super Multi Drive writer.
Z24-Z2405 Leaptop PC is equipped with integrated Intel PRO/Wireless 3945 Network 802.11a/b/g connection and features integrated Bluetooth v2.0 + EDR wireless connection option.
Z24-Z2405 Leaptop offers 14.1-inch WXGA Widescreen TFT display with maximum resolution of 1280 X 800 pixels.
HCL laptop Z24-Z2405 Leaptop also features 4-in-1 Media Card Reader supporting Multimedia Card (MMC), Memory stick (MS), Secure Digital Card, and MS-PRO media cards, integrated microphone and integrated 1.3 Megapixels Webcam.

Review Details

This is HCL’s first good notebook solution that we reviewed. A 14.1-inch laptop is so much better than a 15.4 inch, especially, when you need to heft it around, and when HCL designs their notebooks to be heavy duty.

 

The Z24 C2D is good value for money. It’s reasonably powerful, reasonably compact, and reasonably functional. For the value conscious home user who wants some mobility, this is a good option.
