LG’s E 300 is a good looking notebook with a smart charcoal-grey finish. It is a well built body and durable finish. The keys are well laid out and give a firm feedback. But this LG Notebook is not as compact as other 13.3-inches notebooks, which is why it isn’t doing a one-on-one with the XPS M1330 which features in our “portable” category.

Weighing at 2.04 kg, this 13.3-inches notebook is no lightweight. The palm rest gets pretty hot as LG uses the body of their notebooks as heat sinks. Still, the heat dissipation should have been restricted to the undercarriage of the notebooks.

This LG Notebook has a decent configuration with T7300, 2.0 GHz processor, 2 GB RAM, a Radeon Xpress 1250 graphics solution with a 13.3 inch screen. The XNote is a relatively good notebook for road warriors and desktop oriented users alike. The Radeon chipset is not meant for gaming or serious HD playback, the E300 still features an HDMI out.

Priced at Rs 52,000, the E300 looks good, though compared to Dell XPS 1530 it looses. The New Dell XPS is cheaper and XPS M1330 is more portable. So with better options available we are not recommending E300.
