The LG R410 supports Intel’s Centrino/2 Montevina Platform. LG has promised better performance and power efficiency with this platform.

 

It supports a polished white keypad and has a 2 tone lid. This gives the notebook a classy look. The speakers give a cleaner look to the notebook as they are placed under the palm rest.

 

It supports a vibrant 14.1 inch display, 1280 x 800 pixels screen resolution. It was comfortable to watch from different viewing angles. It supports a good keyboard and is easy to use.

 

The overall movie viewing experience is good as this laptop supports 1.5 watt SRS HD speakers. A removable Optical disc drive has also been given by LG but even without it, this LG Laptop weighs 2.4 Kg.

 

The R410 supports VGA, USB, LAN ports and modem. Other features included are an HDMI out and the latest Intel Wi-Fi link 5100 that facilitates faster data processing.

 

The R 410 scored a 4585 in the PC Mark05 test, making it good for all daily jobs. It supports the Intel Centrino2 platform with 1033 MHz (FSB) Front Side Bus.

 

It has Intel’s 4 Chip which has 10 Unified shades resulting in better performance. The LG Laptop scored 1349 Marks in 3D mark 05 tests. It is not meant for serious gamers but is good enough for some 3D applications like Photoshop or Windows Vista Screensaver.

 

The 6 Cell battery has 2hrs and 7 min of battery life. The Centrino 2 platform is energy efficient. The LG R410 offers good performance and supports all the latest technologies. Priced at Rs 43,000 it is definitely worth a buy when compared with Acer Aspire 2920 or Dell Inspiron 1525 which are in the same price range.
