The Lenovo Y series laptops are meant for home entertainment with good speakers, multimedia buttons but the looks leave something to be desired! The Lenovo Y410 has a quality finish on the outer panels and the 14.1-inch unit is built solid.


It has a glossy, 1280 x 800 pixels display with a good contrast ratio. The keypad offers good feedback though a little squishy. The shortcut keys and add-on keys like the volume adjustment, mute, “Novo” key are easy to use. The cool multimedia keys allow you to listen to music without logging in to Windows.
 
The Lenovo Y410 Laptop is equipped with a speedy Core 2 Duo T7100 (1.8 GHz) processor and an NVIDIA GeForce 8400M Graphics Solution with 128 MB onboard video RAM.
 
We tested on a Core 2 Duo T5450 processor with Intel’s GMA 950 graphics solution, which is good for multimedia work, like HD movie playback though it is not meant for gamers.
 
It scored a 3251 on the PC Mark 2005 score, 673 in 3D Mark 2005 score and a SiSoft Sandra 2007 drive Index of 39 MBps, the Lenovo Y410 laptop is priced at Rs 38,500, making it a value for money deal.
 
It’s also supports preinstalled software, though Windows Vista Home Premium OS would have been better instead of Basic. The Y410 comes across as a good laptop for home / office users and supports multimedia features without pinching your pocket.

Positive has got great power backup besides having face recognition bluetooth and dolby audio system and is easy to take anywhere...
Negative buttons not up to date. has got bad look not looking sophicated. audio system very weak.......
