The Lenovo ‘Y’ series are entertainment and multimedia laptops powered with great features, performance and looks.

 

This Lenovo Y510 is solidly built, with a nice hinge which has upports five LEDs battery indicators. This Lenovo laptop has an excellent piano black finish although it still manages to look a little boxy. It upports touch multimedia buttons with are backlit and has orange lighting, which looks good with the black and grey body.

 

The screen is crisp and bright with a glossy panel and prone to reflection which is a disaster for a multimedia laptop. The 1 GB is slow for Windows Vista and better graphics solution are required. Lenovo  has added load of software like MS Office 2007, Adobe Elements, Norton Antivirus as well as other multimedia and utilitarian software.

 

It supports the face recognition software which is not as fast as a fingerprint reader though still a good security feature. The T5450 processor on the Y510 is good but compared to T7xxx series and latest T8xxx series it is still slow. It does not support dedicated graphics and there were problems viewing HD content. Priced at Rs 48,490, the lenovo Y510 is affordable and is a meant for office users.

Negative 1-Heats up lil in charging.2-Small Disc Cannot be inserted(ODI slot).3-Lil High Price....
Overall Go for this laptop...good performance...good battery life...sound system rocks...lots of features.....
