The Samsung R470 has a glossy shiny looks, it is a thin-and-light laptop meant to be carried around. The Samsung R 470 is meant for professionals on the go.

The surface is scratch-resistant and tough enough to withstand the rigors of urban travel. The Samsung R470 has a blue LED-lit frame around the touchpad, which turns off when the atter is deactivated.

The 14-inch display has LED backlights which are more commonly found on high-end machines. This machine is capable for casual gaming and high-definition movies, as it is equipped with the midrange Nvidia GeForce G105M graphics chipset.
