Lenovo India has launched the ThinkPad X1 in India, a successor the popular ThinkPad X301. An premium ultraportable business laptop, it weighs in at 1.72 kilograms, and measures less than 1.7 centimetres in width. Because of its form factor, it can be compared to other ultraportable laptops, such as the Samsung Series 9 and Apple MacBook Air, except, the X1 is better powered and suited for business professionals.
A 13.3-inch laptop, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 has a 1366x768 pixel widescreen display. It is supposedly the only laptop to come with Corning’s Gorilla Glass hardened and scratch resistant display.

Continuing the trend of Lenovo X-series ThinkPads, the X1 has a rugged design, even sporting a roll-cage chassis for durability. The X1’s hard drives are secure and shock-resistant, with Lenovo’s active protection system. The X1 chassis is military-certified to handle a variety of environmental factors, such as altitude, stress, temperature, etc.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 can be configured with Sandy Bridge Intel Core i5, i7 processors, 8GB of RAM, 160GB SSD (which choice of additional 2.5-inch HDD), Intel HD 3000 graphics with choice of a Nvidia GeForce 500M series GPU, available. Other features include specs include Dolby Home Theater V4 speakers, HDMI port, Lenovo RapidCharge, six-cell battery with up to 10 hours of battery life (1000 recharge cycles), integrated HD webcam and noise suppression microphones. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 starts from Rs. 85,000 onwards.
