The new Toshiba AC100 is a 10.1-inch SmartBook which is basically a very smart Netbook that is powered by the new Nvidia’s Tegra processor. It is an Android OS based SmartBook that has been redesigned using Toshiba’s custom user interface. The new NVIDIA Tegra 250 Mobile Processor that powers this devices operates at a speed of 1GH, ARM and has the Android 2.1 OS. It also comes with a total of 512 MB DDR2 ram operating at 333 MHz and for storage it has Up to 32GB of SSD. The display in this new kind of a device is a 25.7cm or a 10.1 inch Tru Brite display with LED backlight and a modest resolution of 1,024 x 600 pixels.

Toshiba AC100 has support for Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR*, with WLAN 802.11 b/g/n compatibility and support for Mobile Broadband connections. The expansion ports include 1 x USB 2.0, and 1x Mini USB port, with a SD, MMC Card Reader and Audio out/Mic in combo socket, with an HDMI port as well. It also has a 1.3 Mega Pixel Webcam with an integrated microphone for video chatting. It comes with the proprietary Toshiba Home Menu, with a customizable desktop along with widgets and shortcuts. The dimensions of the device are 262.1 mm x 189.8 mm x 14 / 21mm and it has a very meager weight of just 870 grams. Its price has been set at around Rs. 18,999 and would be available in the market soon.
