Dell has recently given their Inspiron line of 15 inch laptops a much needed upgrade to match the consumers' demands these days. The Dell Inspiron 1564 comes with the Windows 7 Home Basic 64-bit operating system pre-installed, and it has a widescreen 15.6 inch LED display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, along with TrueLife support that provides a clear and crisp picture. It is powered by an Intel Core i3-330M Processor  which run at 2.13GHz which under turbo mode can hit up to 2.83GHz, and has 3MB cache. The graphics on this laptop are rendered by Intel’s own HD Graphics.

The laptop also has 2GB DDR3 1066MHz SDRAM which can be upgraded to 4GB, and for storage, it has a 250GB 5400RPM Serial ATA hard drive. The optical drive in it is an 8x DVD writer, and it comes with a built-in memory card reader which is common for most laptops these days. For wireless connectivity it has a Dell 1397 Wireless-G card, and also supports Bluetooth v2.1. It also comes with an integrated 1.3MP webcam, with Fast Access Facial Recognition Software for data protection. With a 6 cell battery setup, it provides up to 4 hours of backup, and uses 65W AC adapter. Dell has been known for its reliable and sturdy laptops and this new laptop is expected to be of the same class as well. These new laptops are expected to be priced around Rs. 31,000.
