HP has revamped a part of the Pavilion, Envy and HP Mini series, their laptop and netbook collection. The new models have been developed keeping HP's "MUSE" design philosophy, which is materials, usability, sensory appeal and experiences. They have a textured finish and easy-to-use and intuitive features for simple experiences.
The HP Envy 14 and 17 are targeted at those who value high-performance the most. Powered by Intel processors, they have ATI Mobility Radeon high-definition graphics on board for gaming, videos and 3D image processing. Other features include a backlit keyboard, a slot-loading optical drive, a webcam and a mini DisplayPort connector. These laptops also offer an enhanced sound experience using Beats, a technology developed to improve audio playback.
The Envy 14 is powered by a quad-core processor, has a 14.5 inch diagonal display, a battery life of up to 6 hours and offers optional WWAN/3G. The Envy 17, on the other hand, comes with up to 2 terabytes of storage capacity.

The dm4, dv5, dv6 and dv7 are the new Pavilion PCs, now available in a metal finish and with etched patterns. These laptops have been developed keeping factors like performance, mobility and pricing in mind. All of these notebooks come with a webcam and feature HP QuickWeb, a technology that gives users access to Web without booting up the notebook.
The dm4 is just an inch thin and weighs around 2kgs, depending on the configuration. It has a 14-inch LED display, internal optical drive, a fingerprint reader and offers up to 6.5 hours of battery life. The dv5 available in black cherry, champagne and Sonoma red, features a 14.5-inch high definition display. The dv6, available in the same finishes as the dv5, is also available with an optional touch screen. The dv7 also features a high definition display and comes pre-installed with Corel PaintShop Photo Pro X3 and Corel VidoeStudio Pro X3, software for creating photo and video content.

Compared to the other enhancements, the upgrades to the HP Mini netbooks are primarily focused around aesthetics. HP has added two new designs, preppy pink and white crystal to the HP Mini 210 line. The updated HP Mini 110, the entry level netbook from HP, now offers up to 8 hours of battery life.

The new laptops and netbooks are expected to be available shortly with matching accessories like notebook sleeves. While the HP Envy 17 and the HP Pavilion notebooks are expected to be out on May 19, the others will be in the market only by June.
