Nokia Plans a leap into the Notebook Industry

With all leading mobile device manufacturers adding Netbooks and Notebooks to their portfolio, world renowned Finnish Mobile handset Giant, Nokia has officially announced that it is eyeing entering the notebook market soon.  

After Acer announced its entry to the mobile phone market, Nokia’s announcement came as a welcome gift for Nokia aficionados.

As per the market buzz the new device from Nokia would be based on ARM platform or Intel Atom. Though Nokia seems to be quite circumspect about entering a market that is highly commoditized, but keeping its current manufacturing, supply chain management and distribution system in mind, it is all set for it.

So eventually Nokia might choose to launch a notebook or a MID (Mobile Internet Device). Whatever the case may be, we will soon come to know whether it was a good decision or a bad one on the part of Nokia, considering the global economic slowdown.
