Question : I bought ACER LAPTOP Model no. a5745G series Sr. No: LXPTY02189027047332500. I have purchased it in October, 2010 from DCC , Sinhagad road...and its got a screen damage issue in the month of Nov, 2010 ...so i submit it in the DCC for its replacement...i took receipt also from them after keeping it for a month they dint change anything and started giving me fake answers...again i took it from DCC(Data Care Corporation, sinhagad road branch, Pune) and submitted it to Acer computer home , authorised service station at Karve nagar, pune...but now it has been almost 15 days even i m not getting any oral or written confirmation from them...please help me..I m ready to pay the charges for the screen replacement whichever they have asked and the laptop is in 2 yrs warranty...but no results...please help me...

Answer : Dear Consumer,
Thanks for sharing your inputs and suggestions regarding the product and services which would be beneficial and guiding for the prospective consumers. They have to get it repaired free of cost since it is still under warranty. They can not hold you ransom for giving back your product. However, legally speaking if you are fed up with the problems and taken enough technical solutions then you must take legal action against the company and the dealer from where you purchased the product. You should immediately shoot a registered letter to the company, service centre and the dealer and in shape of legal demand notice raising your entire grievance. Mention all the previous complaints you have made and nothing has been done. Keep a record of all the communication for the future legal action. I hope some sense will prevail over them and they will rectify the faults well with in time. In case they do not, you can go ahead with the complaint in the consumer forum for which you can always seek our guidance.
