Charging port of my MSI laptop is not working

Question : i have purchased a MSI laptop from bangalore.. My laptop charging port got damaged..when i went to service center they told that it is a physical damage and so not come under warranty....and are asking for Rs1000 but it is under warranty period.. and the laptop did not got any physical damage... Suggest me shall it be repaired or i go for any other service providers..if possible reply soon...

Answer : Dear Customer,
I hope that the warranty which your product is enjoying is quite comprehensive and cover such damages. This has been the old tactics of the companies to deny warranty benefits giving them colour of some intentional physical damage. Make them understand that if it would have been the intentional damage or caused by you that would not have been the only area which could have got damaged. There so many delicate areas in a laptop which are fragile than the charging port. Write them a registered letter on these lines in shape of a legal notice and call upon them to solve the issues with in two weeks time failing which you can file complaint in the consumer forum.
