Question : I purchased Compaq Prisario Notebook PC CQ-40-425TU for my sister's son Mr S.P.CHAKRAVARTY under Student offer on 21-08-2009 andI paid extra Rs5499 for my gift i.e cellphone MOTOROKR E8 and I followed process as said and I received File No:131355.Till today i am not yet received phone and they are not giving proper reply Shall I proceed to cosumer forum for cheating

Answer : Dear Customer,
This is a sheer case of breach of conditions on which the product was sold to you. You can avail the remedy in the consumer forum. But before that it is suggested to you that you should write a registered letter to the company and the dealer and raise your demand for what they have promised .In your letter refer all relevant details and brochure they provided to you in regard of your purchase. Just make sure you all the correspondence should be in the name of the person reflected in the invoice as the product was sold under a special offer for the student. I hope some sense will prevail over the company and they would look in to your grievances.
