HP people are not giving me the recovery disk with the laptop

Question : I have bought one laptop Hp probook 4530S from a mall in india. i have not been given recovery disks with this laptop. I asked HP to give me the disks they said the point of purchase of this laptop is India whereas this laptop was supposed to be sold in US. I have receipt of the purchase in India, Now Hp is not taking any liability of this laptop and not ready to provide warranty and recovery disks, I want to know whats my fault? Its HP problem how US laptops are being sold here in India

Answer : Dear Consumer,
You should be given what you have been offered to and have paid for. Just make sure that disks were part of your offer and you have paid for the same. It would have been mentioned somewhere either in the product brochure or carton and may be in features of the product. If that is the case, you must take legal action against them. I would suggest you that at this stage you can write them a registered letter containing all issues in detail. In case, they do not come up with a solution then you may go ahead with complaint in the district forum. I hope some sense will prevail over them at the stage of notice itself and they will sort out things.
