Question : Dear,

My name is Swapnik Mandavkar, I have purchased ACER(AS5745-433G50Mnks) Laptop model no LXPTW01004029032902500 on 11.08.2010.
Within a month only a problem in display appeared( vertical line appeared on screen). I logged my 1st complaint the complaint (case id no 103010-665) with cutomer care on 30.10.2010.
After contacting the service centre Chinchwad, Pune they promised me to fix the issue within 7 working days. But I got a call from service centre told me that to submit the Laptop to change the display.
But this complaint got closed due to wrong part received by service centre. Then after this I was in continuous contact with Chinchwad service centre Mr. Hanumant cnt no 9604783087, Mr. Sushil cnt no 9850993002 & Mr. Mahesh Kulkarni cnt no 9371615696 but nothing happened. Then Mr. Sushil arranged for an Display but due bad picture quality again the issue kept pending.

As no one was at all looking into the matter again I launched a new complaint(case id 120310-552) on 03.12.2010 all the procedure took around 2 months to resolved. Case id 120310-552 got resolved but still picture were not good & video quality was very bad so again on 11.01.2011, again reopened the same case id 120310-552 & Laptop submitted on same date then on I had a talk with Mr Hanumanth on 13.01.2011 he told me that the issue will get resolved by Monday i.e. on 17.01.2011 & Now on contacting he told me that the it will take another 15 days to fix the issue. Now I am really fade up the services being provided by Acer. To resolve a single problem it is taking more than 3 months.

I kindly request Acer to refund my money as I cant wait anymore & no1 in Pune service station talk properly with Customer.

Answer : Dear Consumer,
The company in no circumstances can hold you waiting like this for giving back your laptop duly repaired. It has to be returned back in a reasonable time. They can not make you run form pillar to post. The thing which I can suggest you at this stage is that in the first instance write them a registered letter containing all the details of your complaint. In case, they do not come up with a solution then you may go ahead with complaint in the district forum. I hope some sense will prevail over them at the stage of notice itself and they will sort out the things. And, yes maintain a record of communications which may be necessary in future as evidence. Well understand that it may tough for you to go to consumer forum but sometimes even the filing of consumer complaints is sufficient to move them.
