Question : purchased vostro 1510 in july 2009.after a year or so the problem started.sometimes it gets hanged and has to be restarted.most often the display blurs,shakes and many coloured lines or dots appear.after few recurrings the window gets corrupted.i got it installed 4 times.last time they said one ram is giving trouble.igot it replaced but the problem still persists.kindly advice the dell service centres at agra

Answer : Dear Amit,
I hope you are not looking forward for technical solutions. As far as your consumer rights are concerned, you can take action against the company if there is deficiency in services on their part. However, it is not clear from the facts as to whether your product is still under warranty or not. If the product is under warranty then you have a legal right to get it repaired from the Dell without costs. If you have availed paid services from the dell even then you can raise disputes for not giving proper services as far as satisfactory repairs are concerned. If that is the case, you can send them a legal notice raising all your concerns and in case they do not come up with any solution then you can file a consumer complaint. What is equally important is to keep proper record of all important documents.
