Service centre is not ready to repair my laptop

Question : I took my lap to repair at the ASUS service centre at the Sakinaka Branch,andheri-kurla rd,The staff said they only repair laptop on warranty and nothing else.they work from 1000am to 1700hrs.
My lap top needs screen replacement and i was wlling to pay for it,but they refused it bluntly. What kind of ASUS centre is this, and why they call themselves service centres. I am bloody disgusted with the attitude of the staff.They don't even know if there is any other service centres for repairing ASUS, I would prefer to see this services centren change its polices or provide training for the illeterate. This matter will be forwarded to CEO of this company in INDIA and Overseas.
I am a overseas citizen of INDIA. Asus laptop is a good brand but the after sales service here is well below negative '0'

Answer : Your problem is a common problem with many companies in India. Politely take up this matter with officials of ASUS by calling them up at their registered/corporate office, which can be located through a simple Google search. Tell them your problem and ask for a solution. You cannot force a Company to repair a product which is out of warranty. Keep reminding them almost daily about your consumer complaints. Do this for some time and keep a record of every call made i.e. date of call and time of call and also the name and designation of the person you had a talk with. Such records will help you later if you decide to file a consumer case.
Even if after repeated reminders and requests the company refuses to service the laptop even though you are ready to pay for the same, then you can move to the consumer forum of your city against- the company Asus, the service centre of the Company (& its owner) and also against the shop keeper who sold you the laptop because it is the responsibility of the shopkeeper to tell you where the laptops are repaired. If you have maintained records as mentioned above, along with bills and other relevant documents, then you have a good case at hand.
You do not need a lawyer/advocate to go to the consumer forum. Such forums are generally consumer friendly. But you should maintain proper records and bills.
