Review Details

The Sony Bravia HX925 supports a 1920x1080p HD Corning Gorilla Glass panel. with X-Reality Pro picture engine. It has a built-in web browser, You Tube app, Facebook, Twitter, widgets and Skype capabilities. For Skype, Sony has bundled a webcam with the TV and offers satisfactory video clarity.

 
The You Tube app was impressive with buffer free video streaming. The TV has a reflective display and if reflects every single speck of light. 
 
It has Motion Flow XR800, which is 200Hz panel, with LED backlighting. This technology allows the LEDs to be turned on and off much quicker, with better contrast, deeper blacks, and more video frames per second. 
 
It has good HD video playback with nice brightness and contrast levels. You can Fast motion setting to Super Smooth however fast moving objects (birds flying etc.) did not feel real. The Live Color feature does add a lot of zing to the colors.
 
You can easily upscale the 2D content to 3D with the two 3D glasses that come with the package. The color and depth of content is good with the upscale 3D content. If you are watching active 3D, you will need to sit in a straight line with the TV. The 3D videos look good and have good depth and clarity of fast moving scenes. However, 3D does tend to give you a headache and you might need a break in between watching videos. 
 
The backlit remote is great if you are watching the TV in a dark room. Sony has tweaked the remote and it has become more complicated. The keys are now clustered together around the direction keys, and you might press the wrong key if you are not looking.  
 
Sony HX925 makes 3D content look even better than before. The redone menu is quite funky. However, the biggest letdown is the reflective nature of the display - any spec of light in the ambience will be reflected off it. It offers access to loads of web-based goodies.
