Those who have seen the latest 3D movies like Avatar or Alice in Wonderland surely must know by now that watching a movie in 3D is truly a remarkable experience that’s far from what the normal viewing experience is. There is however no doubt that under the right conditions, having a 3D TV can truly improve one’s television experience at home, although people do complain that they feel fatigued after watching a 3D movie, and what long exposures to a 3D TV would be like are still unknown.

Documentaries, drama and action movies and more such features could end up looking better, but the most important characteristic that remains is a concern for clarity. The idea about wearing glasses to watch 3D is still a matter of debate, even though millions of people world over wear glasses every day, and if the 3D TV viewing experience is what is said to be, very few people are bound to complain. But the most emblematic of the problems that the industry faces today is that there aren’t enough 3D programmes being aired on TV as yet these days, and it requires the user to jump through a lot of hoops to obtain media like that which is not only expensive, but is worth watching only if the user has a large screen TV which most consumers still do not possess. Unless one has the capability of burning a hole worth 2 to 4 lakhs in their pocket they are advised to wait for some time before investing in a 3D TV. But it’s definitely a surety, even if consumers can’t use the 3D features of a TV now, that there will probably be a 3D TV in almost every house in the years to come, for it is the next step in display technology, just like what black & white was to colour.

Sony India which has been well known for its high quality electronics and good after-sales service, combined with affordable prices and reliability, along with a strong presence across all major cities and towns in India through a vast channel of distribution network that comprises of over 5000 dealers and distributors, and over 200 exclusive Sony stores and 19 direct branches. Sony in India also has a very strong service backup which runs across the country with about 20 company owned centers, about 200 authorized service centers and 16 demonstration centers that are exclusive for Sony products. Sony is ready to claim about 30% of the market share with its 3D televisions in India. As Sony televisions provides features like selective dimming that gives a better contrast ratio using RGB LED backlight techniques used in their TV’s for deeper blacks and crisper bright color, as well as technology such as a 200Hz Motion Flow technology  that reduces motion blur that is usually visible in high speed action or sport programs on LCD television, which makes them even more attractive. Many Sony TV’s will come with MPEG noise reduction features and ‘Live’ vivid colors coupled with Intelligent Picture Plus technology that gives a sharper image, clearer and more noise-free, apart from providing lots of internet-based content that can be viewed directly on their BRAVIA TV line-up, like YouTube, Facebook, Yahoo and many others. This internet feature as of now has provided the user an access to up to 30 websites.
