Sony India today announced the launch of the slimmest LCD TV in the whole lineup of Sony Bravia LCD TVs. the ZX series LCD TV is merely 9.9mm at its thinnest point that makes it the slimmest TV on sale in India.

This TV also utilizes the LED backlighting technology that is responsible for better pictures and slim design.
One of the reasons for slim design is also the fact that this TV has an external TV Tuner. But the good thing is that you do not need to connect any wires from the tuner to the LCD panel.The tuner connects to the LCD via  a proprietary wireless connection that functions over a distance of 10 meters.

Even though this launch may not be considered as the industry’s first for slim LCD TVs as Samsung has already launched it’s new series 8 of slim LCD TVs last month, the launch of Sony Bravia ZX at Rs. 1,99,900 will certainly bring smiles to those who were disappointed with the very high pricing of the slim LCD TVs by Samsung.
