Samsung launches five new series of LCD TVs and two new series of Plasma TVs
Samsung India today announced the launch of their latest series of LCD HDTV’s.Among them, the highlight was the launch of slim series, also known as the Series 8. TheseTV’s are just 29.9mm in width at their slimmest point and come with an inbuilt TV tuner. Among the numerous technologies that have gone in the making of these slimmer LCD TV’s , the important one  is the use of LEDs as the primary light source, rather than traditional Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps (CCFL). Sony Bravia launches the slimmest LCD TV
Sony India today announced the launch of the slimmest LCD TV in the whole lineup of Sony Bravia LCD TVs. the ZX series LCD TV is merely 9.9mm at its thinnest point that makes it the slimmest TV on sale in India. This TV also utilizes the LED backlighting technology that is responsible for better pictures and slim design. One of the reasons for slim design is also the fact that this TV has an external TV Tuner. But the good thing is that you do not need to connect any wires from the tuner to the LCD panel.The tuner connects to the LCD via  a proprietary wireless connection that functions over a distance of 10 meters.
