LG Google TV Revealed Ahead of CES
LG has officially joined other major manufacturers as part of the Google TV club, and is expected to reveal the first LG Google TV at CES this week. The Korean giant has revealed some features of the TV ahead of the announcement, which include Cinema 3D technology, as well as a Magic Remote. According to LG, the LG Google TV will come with Android OS onboard, and will use a dedicated chipset (L9) to power the Google TV interface. This will help reduce the television’s overall power consumption, and also ensure smooth performance of the operating system. The company says the TV will also deliver seamless multitasking, allowing users to run several tasks simultaneously, such as social networking, search, and TV. 3D TVs Hot at CES 2010
James Cameron’s Avatar has had theaters showing the flick in its 3D format, booked for weeks ever since the milestone movie released.  Although there have been 3D movies earlier, Avatar has taken the 3D awareness to the next level. BenQ enters LCD TV market
Taiwanese display and notebook manufacturer, BenQ has entered the highly competitive LCD television market with the launch of its latest range of LCD televisions. The televisions that were launched range from 22-inches to 42-inches and all of them feature 1080p full high definition resolution. The televisions are based on the CCFL illumination technology and feature 5000:1 contrast ratio. Televisions up to 24-inch screen size feature single HDMI input while others feature dual HDMI inputs. This is the first time BenQ has stepped in a totally new market and with the new launch BenQ has a total of 6 different models in the television category out of which two are in the LCD monitor TV segment. The new Era of LED TVs
LED or Light emitting Diodes are probably the next best thing that can be used inside a flat panel TV for display illumination.
