Question : I has purchased Philips ultra slim line television Model no.21PT8867/94 on 28 jan. 2008 ...within 2-3 years tv stopped working .I called servicenter .By multi calling technician came & see my tv and told your tv will not work &they told me that company has no part for my tv so company will give a new tv at 50% less on MRP(in any model of Philips) ..then i mail to company that any dealers are gives 20% -30% on MRP ...and Philips is giving only 50%...that is not worth...so give more less on MRP...But after doing atleast 6-7 e-mail ...every time company replied that they have received my e-mail & will reply my question within 24 hrs. But still i has not received any reply of my e-mail....i dont know after 300-400 hrs ..still i has not received answer from the company....I dont know what to do..such a big company is doing like this ,which is not good for the company also . Answer : Dear Consumer,
Thanks for sharing your inputs and suggestions regarding the product and service which would be beneficial and guiding for the prospective customers. Do not feel cheated as you can very well take legal action by complaining in the district consumer forum. But at the same time you have not made clear whether your product was in warranty or not. If the same was with in the warranty then you have a better chance to pressurise them by taking legal action. In that case you can now send them a legal notice. Non availability of part is can not be ground as it there responsibility. If they can not fulfil that responsibility then you have to be compensated accordingly. At this stage you can write them a registered letter containing all problems in detail. In case, they do not come up with a solution then you may go ahead with complaint in the district forum. I hope some sense will prevail over them at the stage of notice itself and they will sort out things.
