The Nokia 6110 Navigator is a 3G Smartphone which comes with a slide opening mechanism. The handset weighs a total of 125 grams and 49mm width, 20mm depth & 101mm height.

The phone comes with a large 2.2 Inch colour QVGA type screen which displays up to 16 million colours. It has a screen resolution of 320 x 240 pixels.

It comes with a 3D GPS navigation feature and has Nokia Navigator application. The user can use the voice guided 3D GPS navigation system to provide them with turn by turn on screen directions as well as having voice guided direction. The Nokia 6110 Navigator is a 3G HSDPA capable handset which allows the user to download maps at high speed with 3.5G technology.

The user can use a wireless Bluetooth® connection or a mini USB cabled connection to connect their 6110 Navigator to compatible devices to download & transfer data between devices. The phone comes with a charger connector & audio headset connector which allows the user to charge their Smartphone & connect to a compatible headset when required. The user can store all their data on the phones 40 Mbytes of built in memory & expand their phones memory up to 2 Gbytes using a removable MicroSD™ memory card which fits in the phones allocated memory card slot.

The phone comes with quad band network technology which allows the user to enjoy worldwide roaming with GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900 & WCDMA 2100. The Nokia 6110 Navigator has a Symbian operating system complete with S60 software.

Review Details

The 6110 has been graced with the suffix navigator mainly because of the inbuilt GPS and the fact that it supports Nokia Maps. While also a slider phone like the 6500 Slider, build quality of the slider mechanism and the device itself is no match for its superior sibling. The body is made of cheaper, plasticy materials. The keypad is flat, but reasonably well laid out and using it is largely ergonomic.

On the multimedia front the 6110 Navigator has a 2.0 megapixel camera that is largely cosmetic.It has decent PMP capabilities and music quality is good, as is video playback, courtesy the crisp 2.2 inch screen that could have been bigger especially considering the GPS function.

It’s priced identically to the 6500 Slide (Rs 15,219), and has a couple of additions and a couple of reductions. Build quality is nowhere as good, and if cellphone integrated GPS is really your thing there are better, albeit costlier, options. Those who want a good camera phone that’s flashy looking, will look elsewhere. It makes a sweet buy for those looking for a cheap, reliable GPS-enabled phone.

Positive user friendly interface nice gprs speed & connectivity awesome music...
Negative battery life not much just a 2mp camera somewhat bulky...
