The OLIVE Msgr V-G8000 (GSM) – QWERTY Dual-Thumb keypad layout – Selling Price in India @ Rs. 2,299 only

The Olive Msgr V-G8000 GSM Mobile Handset can store upto 250 messages and is called the king of SMS. It has a QWERTY keypad. It has a 2.2 Inch screen with Lithium Ion Battery, 400 hrs of standby mode and 265 grams.
 
It has bundled accessories like Stereo Headset and a 3.7V Travel charger. It has also a 100 days warranty. It has a sturdy and smooth built with a compact battery compartment. It has a scratch free body.
 
 
Olive Msgr V-G8000 has great features like built-in FM radio and crystal clear speakers. It has no cutting edge features and is not meant for professionals.
 
HOW WE TESTED?
 
 
1. Call Clarity:
The Olive msgr V-G8000 GSM Mobile Handset has good signal strength. The signal reception came down with other interference. It has excellent voice clarity as an entry level phone.
 
2. Messaging & Keypad Test:
The dual thumb QWERTY keypad offered faster messaging and the fact that it can store 250 messages was ordinary. The keyboard lacks accuracy. There are 4 short cut keys and has good features. The dual thumb QWERTY layout is good and it is ideal for the budget consumer.
 
 
3. FM-Radio Test:
FM-Radio Test involved two channel search tests namely:
1) Manual and 
2) Automatic
 
1) Manual: We did a manual search to fine tune all the channels and store them permanently. The processor was a little time consuming and unnecessary.
 
2) Automatic: We could only fine tune about 1-2 channels in the automatic search. In our second search attempt the previous channels were erased and replaced with new ones. The sound clarity was good and remained ambient.
 
4). Sound Volume Test:
The sound clarity and volume is good and clear. The Audio seems a bit rough at high volumes and scored moderate results.
 
5). Battery Life Test:
The Olive msgr V-G8000 had 54 hours of battery life. With 10 hours of talk-time. It has a long battery life.
 
 
The Verdict:
It is a budget friendly phone priced at Rs 2,299 and has 16.6 days of standby time.
