The Xperia X10i mini pro is an attractive device which lacks in dimensions but has a plus points with the structure of the device. The glossy black front to the rubber like finish on the back defines elegance. In all black color with strips of chroms running by the side along with three adjacent chrome buttons placed right below the screen. The compact size of the phone give a solid bold look and as the QWERTY keypad has a very elegant feel to it and it is really convenient with its first use. At the back of the phone there is a logo which determines as the logo for the brand manufacturer.

Since the display is a mere 2.55”-inches – quite compact by touch-screen standards, the bezel finish appears quite wide, especially with the lower portion. The 3.5mm audio jack is on the top, close to the power button and Sony packs a set of headphones along with the phone packing.

It runs on Android based operating system, version 1.6 Eclair. However, an Froyo update is on the cards. Although it is loaded with a basic version of a HTML browser, which enables frequent browsing – there is presence of lag when resizing text but the fonts seem to be rendered well.

The display resolution of 240 x 320 pixels which seems is low. Another problem we face was the colors deficiency,  which was not at all prominent on the HD Mini which  also has a 65K (OS imposed) colour restriction.

The user interface of the device is fairly sensitive but it is snappy for most of the time while interfacing. Lags are induced when any heavy application is loaded onto the RAM or any sorts of settings in enables where it forceable tries to increase the image quality.The display of the phone being small creates issues to use the phones properly but with the use of the QWERTY keypad the issues faced are more than the normal onscreen functions. But if compared to the Xperia X1 the keypad is designed in much better way and is much easier to use. Even when the keys are small they are well spaced out and does provide positive feedback. The keys are well lit with backlighting which is anyways not visible under bright conditions.

Playing back audio files on the Xperia x10i mini pro was a pleasant experience. The headphones provide along the phone within the box offer good clarity and decent bass levels. While on a call it performs well, the voice of the caller was loud enough.

Whereas, Video playback experience was much satisfactory only. The color were low and the contrast wasn't even complimenting the images specially under fluorescent lighting. The life of the battery was just to our satisfaction. Two straight hours of talking over the phone drains out atleast 50% of the battery.
