We’ve been hearing rumours of an updated LG Optimus 3D being scheduled for release this year, with the new device faster, and slimmer than before. Just like the Samsung Galaxy S III, rumours also indicate the LG Optimus 3D 2, will be launched at MWC in February. The latest rumours peg the LG Optimus 3D 2 in the leaked images and specs of the device codenamed the LG CX2.
The LG CX2 will apparently be slim, with a width less than 10mm. It is expected to bear a 1.2GHz dual-core TI OMAP processor, dual 5MP cameras, and a 4.3-inch NOVA display with autostereoscopic features.

Other rumoured specifications include 8GB of built-in storage, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, NFC and 21Mbps HSPA+ connectivity. For now, rumours are that the LG Optimus 3D 2, or CX2, will launch with Android 2.3 Gingerbread onboard, with an Ice Cream Sandwich update forthcoming.
