Nokia E7 – Business Phone – Finally Starts Shipping
The Nokia E7 has begun shipping, and should arrive in India soon. Built around the same design as the N8, and sporting the same operating system – Symbian^3, the Nokia E7 is more business focussed, and features a horizontal sliding QWERTY keyboard, as well as such enterprise software as Office document editor. The phone is currently not priced for the Indian market, but should be available for approximately Rs. 32,000 when it hits stores in February, based on a MSRP of €599 in Europe. The 3G-capable (HSDPA) E7 has a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen that is of the ClearBlack AMOLED type. Its 1200 mAh lithium-ion battery delivers up to 480 hours of standby time (in 3G mode), and up to 9 hours of talk time (in 2G). India will not Allow Blackberry Services Without Security Access
The Indian government has said that it will stand firm in its demand for letting the security agencies have access to the BlackBerry messages after giving the RIM a 60-day reprieve on a threat of banning the blackberry services in the country.   "All security concerns (related to BlackBerry) need to be addressed," said the Home Minister P. Chidambaram on late Tuesday on the sidelines of a business forum. The India government has given the smartphone's manufacturer another window of two months to provide a permanent solution to the security concerns which threaten to shutdown BlackBerry's heavily encrypted corporate email and messenger chatting services.
