Question : I was purchase a MAXX Mobile ( Model No.- MX250 ) on 22.08.10. Mobile was working fine till tomorrow. But tomorrow at 11.10 A.M I attended a call then the phone was totally switched off. Then I am trying to on the set but there was some problem in the set . Then I am trying to dislocated the battery . But the battery was so heated that my finger was brunt , then i am trying to keep the battery to some cool place but after one minute the battery was blast just like a bomb and smoke out just like tear gas cell.This matter was happen in Busy railway station (Dum Dum Rly stn.) . Some security personnel are there and they think there is some terrorists activists are happen. After watching the matter they relished me.

After that I went at your Company Service Center, they haired all the matter but they said me that battery warranty was over (Due to Battery warranty is 6 Months) they could not change the battery after that I purchase a new Battery after paying full Price.

After changing the battery the set is not working properly

But I Have Some question to You : If that incident will happen in my Shirt Pocket or when conversation time , who will be responsible .

Answer : Dear Consumer,
This is a shocking incident which you have just revealed. By God grace you are not hurt. Had this incident had happened in your pocket it could have done any serious damage to you. You should immediately send a legal notice to them asking for the damages for the embarrassment and loss you suffered due blast in the battery. This is something related to your safety not just the warranty benefits. At no cost during or after warranty, the safety and security of the consumer can be compromised. Please keep a record of all communication which would be of great help if the matter goes to consumer forum.
