Question : I PURCHASED A LEMON DUEO 211 WITH DUAL SIM AT PONDICHERY, INDIAN ON VIDE IMEI NO.3592809020691859 AND 3592809021691858, BATTERY NO. DUO211FEB2010 BY FEB-2010. BUT WITHIN A MONTH OF TIME IT GONE OFF, BUT IT IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY AND WHILE CHARGING IT SAYS BAD CONTACT OF CHARGER AND NOT CHARGING I WENT TO SOME SERVICE CENTRES BUT THEY SAY THEY CON;T DO ANY THING PLEASE SEND TO COMPANY SERVICE CENTRE, NOW I AM AT CHENNAI, I WANT TO KNOW WHETHER ANY SERVICE CENTRES OF LEMON IS AVAILABLE IN CHENNAI PLEASE CLARIFY TO ME BY NEXT E-MAIL

Answer : Dear Consumer,
I am presuming that this phone was sold to you on the condition or the representation that it would work for such time and in manner as you have explained. If that is the case, you can put a challenge to the dealer and the company. The thing which I can suggest you at this stage is that in the first instance write them a registered letter containing all the details of your complaint. In case, they do not come up with a solution then you may go ahead with complaint in the district forum. I hope some sense will prevail over them at the stage of notice itself and they will sort out the things. And, yes maintain a record of communications which may be necessary in future as evidence. Well understand that it may tough for you to go to consumer forum but sometimes even the filing of complaint is sufficient to move them.
