Question : Hi all, its really disgusting.
Videocon is cheating customers. I bought a v1676. Biggest mistake of my life. Not only does the handset has problems, i am cheated on the balance aswell.
I phone displays a special offer subscription pack, even if i cancel it, the request is sent and the pack is activated. My balance is deducted. Very recently i picked my phone and found a sms from videocon confirming activation of some pack, whereas i had not physically touched the phone atall. I lodged a complaint with customer care. They told me the balance will be refunded.
But, nothing till now. Adding to the miseries, i was cheated twice again with the same con.
Please help me.

Answer : Dear Consumer,
It is ironical that big companies make tall claim to provide flawless services and sturdy equipments but do nothing to fulfil their commitment towards customer satisfaction. You must raise all the problems of your handset at the earliest opportunity with the company. As far as undue balance deduction is concerned, this is a general problem the mobile consumers are facing on very regular basis. The mobile companies are taking advantage of the ignorant consumers and deducting money from their account to their benefits. You can not be held liable to pay for any service for which you have not given any consent. There are guidelines in existence issued by the TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) and consumer forums controlling such menace. You can write to them raising the dispute. It is necessary to put them on notice for such deficiency in services.
