i am unable to install any application on my phone

Question : iam using lg optmus black,when i start download in my android market it shows you have insufficient memory.but i have 4gb space available and 1gb in my phone.can u please help me solve the problem..........

Answer : You should remove the memory card from the phone, restart the phone, and then attempt an application download. If you get the same error, the you will probably need to restore the phone to factory settings. Take a backup of contacts first.
