What's Good
After the 4-in Karbonn A18, it's not surprising to see the Micromax A110 wield a 5-in display at a price-point that, for all intents and purposes, belongs in the budget segment. For users enamoured by large displays, the A110 is a great deal. The A110 also offers very good battery life, in fact one of the best from a budget smartphone. The A110 is also really smooth to use for the most part, thanks to its dual-core processor. The icing on the cake is that the Micromax handset comes with Android 4.0 (ICS).
What's Bad
It's a little disappointing to see that the Micromax A110's display offers the same resolution as handsets with smaller displays. The A110 also seems to stutter when its GPU is put under stress, this is especially noticeable when browsing a heavy site and when trying to start a graphically heavy game like Shadowgun. The Micromax also suffered from occasional bugs such as random restarts and freezes (again when on a heavy web page).
Bottom Line
In spite of all its faults, the Micromax A110 Superfone Canvas 2 is a good buy thanks to all it offers. Along with the large display, the Micromax impresses with its no-hassle performance and battery life. However, if you're looking for a smaller display, also consider the Sony Xperia Sola or the Karbonn A18 at around the same price.
